I am so excited to announce that I have had a dream become reality! My new book, Little One Goes Home, has been released and is now available to purchase in the online store at the site littleonegoeshome.com. I have always had a dream of becoming a published author and have now seen that dream come to pass. My students published a book of their own last year which encouraged me to keep my dream alive. With that being said, I was inspired to write this first book after seeing so many kids have broken dreams and broken homes. There are so many children in foster care, being raised by others who aren't their parents and who have such unstable homes that it disrupts their normal lives of being a child. Our kids are precious and they all need encouragement, confidence and someone who believes in them and will encourage them to dream big. I have big dreams for my students and keep high expectations. I continually remind them that i will be there the day they walk across that stage to get their diploma--and I will. They are capable, bright, and can do anything they set their minds to accomplish. We as adults need to remember to help keep that fire alive in them, motivate and foster that dream so that they WILL accomplish all that they set their minds to accomplish. We also need to remember to let the be kids as well. Let them dream. Let them imagine. Let them have fun while they are young, because all too often, the children of this and future generations deal with adult issues and situations that no child should ever have to face. Be the champion they need. Be the cheerleader they need. Be the one who keeps their dreams alive, even they don't believe in themselves. Dare to dream!
